A swing gate barrier is a type of gate that is hinged on one side and swings open and shut. It is commonly used to provide access to an area. Swing gate barriers are easy to install and use, and they provide a secure barrier against unauthorised access. They are also relatively inexpensive, making them a popular choice for businesses and homeowners alike.

You can prevent intruders from accessing your property with manual swing gate barriers. Designed to swing open and closed, these gates provide a physical barrier that is difficult to breach. Your property can be protected from unwanted visitors by installing manual swing gate barriers.

A swing gate barrier is usually found on the perimeter of many properties and can be made of metal or wood. In addition to providing an easy means of accessing and exiting, they can also be automated.

Security measures are also provided by these devices. It is easy to lock and unlock them from either side, providing peace of mind for safety-conscious people. Any business can benefit from a swing gate barrier in terms of style and security. Their aesthetically pleasing design is complemented by a rather difficult break-down process. As a result, they are an ideal choice for preventing unwanted visitors from entering. To further protect property, they can be combined with other security measures, such as motion detectors or cameras.

Simple but effective Aremco Swinging Gate Barriers are made of sturdy mild steel and include 1 No. Hinged Post for hanging the gate to, and 1 No. Swing Gate Latch Post  to lock the swing gate in a closed position. Particularly useful in situations or locations where it is not feasible or necessary to install a fully automatic barrier, gate entry system, or fence.

Intruders are effectively discouraged from entering through these gates because they close tightly. For convenience, they can also be automated. If you're planning to install a manual swing barrier gate, you need to understand how it's designed and installed. Metals and materials designed to withstand the elements are typically used in manual swing gate barriers.

Depending on the applications, swinging gates can be manufactured to open in either direction to 90 degrees, as well as 180 degrees in either direction if required.

The product is available in sizes up to 6M. Anything over 6M, we recommend 2 swinging gates that are locked via a sliding shootbolt with a padlock shroud.

THESE CAN BE USED TO PREVENT UNAUTHORIZED VEHICLES FROM ENTERING AREAS, SUCH AS QUAD BIKES, MOTORBIKES, ETC. THIS IS AN APPROPRIATE SOLUTION FOR CERTAIN AREAS THAT ARE VULNERABLE TO FLYTIPPERS OR TRAVELERS.

Access control can be achieved at any location with the use of a swing barrier gate. This device can be utilized in schools, medical facilities, residential areas, parking garages, car parks, and business forecourts.

Swing Gate Barriers are available in a variety of finishes and colours. They are constructed from mild steel square hollow sections throughout and are based on a rigid triangular design with strengthening struts attached.

Swing Gate Barriers are mounted on strong adjustable hinges and swing on a square sleeve (90° in either direction).

A single-span gate is limited to a width of 6 metres. For spans wider than this, we strongly recommend the use of two individual gates, each with a central latch post or sliding shootbolt. For more information or to request a quotation, please click here.

A height of 1100mm above ground is recommended for the top beam.

In addition to the Hanging Post and Latch Post supplied with swing gate barriers, an additional latch post can be ordered for locking the gate in the open position.

The Swing Gate Barrier is secured by a padlock that is protected by a security cover - the padlock is included.

All of our Swing Gate Barriers are built-in, which we highly recommend for safety and durability. Floor-mounted versions are available at an additional cost. Please contact us for more information.

***In order to maintain a high level of safety, we strongly recommend that you install an additional latch post for a single-leaf swing gate barrier, and two additional latch posts for a double-leaf swing gate barrier, so that you can securely lock the gate in the open position, and thus prevent the gate leaf from swinging back into vehicles or pedestrians.

Choosing between a Manual Swing Gate Barrier and an Automatic Swing Gate Barrier

Suitable for installation in a variety of locations, this manual swing gate barrier does not require power or electricity. The manual swing gate barrier is completely self-contained and is powered by the force of the user's arm, allowing for easy installation in almost any location. Additionally, the manual swing gate barrier is cost-effective and does not require additional power sources or electricity.

It is fortunate that manual swing gate barriers can be used under all kinds of circumstances - in the event of a power failure, you would no longer be able to access the area beyond the swing gate if it was automated.  Due to the fact that manual swing gates are not powered, a power outage will not affect the operation of the gate, and access will still be possible. This means that manual swing gates are a reliable and secure option for areas where a power failure is likely, as they provide continuous access control even in the event of a power outage.

The maintenance of a Manual Swing Gate Barrier is almost nonexistent – A Manual Swing Gate Barrier is much easier to maintain with next to no maintenance required to ensure it remains in an operational condition.  On the other hand, an Automatic Swing Gate requires ongoing maintenance by an electrician, which could prove quite expensive and time-consuming.

It can be quite expensive to replace individual mechanical parts of an Automatic Swing Gate if it malfunctions. Many times, mechanical issues occur with automatic gates, resulting in the need for replacement parts. Manual Swing Gate Barriers have no mechanical components, so there would be a significant reduction in replacement costs in the event of operational issues. Manual Swing Gate Barriers are much simpler in design, relying solely on the weight of the gate and its hinges for operation. This means that if the gate malfunctions, it is less likely to require costly replacement parts, making it a much more cost-effective option.
