Bespoke Farm Access Gate
A farmer needed a made-to-measure 5.2m gate that standard suppliers couldn’t provide — so we designed and manufactured a bespoke dual swing gate with mesh infill, galvanised finish and stabilising latch post. Built in-house by Aremco Barriers.
🔍 The Challenge
A farmer reached out to us after struggling to find a manufacturer willing to produce a gate to suit a very specific entrance layout. The span was wider than standard agricultural gates and required extra stability in high winds.
Most suppliers had turned him away — but we never turn anything away.
He needed:
- A 5.2m opening to be securely gated.
- Mesh infill to prevent animals from entering.
- An additional latch post & support bar to stop the gates wobbling.
- Heavy-duty hanging posts for long-term durability.
- Fully galvanised finish to withstand the rural environment.
✨ Our Solution
Our fabrication team designed and manufactured a bespoke set of dual swing gates, built from scratch at our Cradley Heath factory.
Working from the client’s exact measurements, we supplied a complete kit ready for installation, including:
✔ Mesh-infill dual swing gates
✔ Heavy-duty hanging posts
✔ Additional latch post with steadying bar
✔ Fully galvanised finish (BS EN ISO 1461)
✔ Built to order – fast lead time
✔ Manufactured and collected directly from Aremco Barriers
🛠️ Manufacturing & Fabrication
Our team fabricated the gates using:
- High-strength box section steel
- Welded mesh panels for security and animal control
- Reinforced hinge plates
- Steadying bar to reduce movement on uneven ground
Every component was hot-dip galvanised for long-term corrosion protection – a crucial factor for agricultural sites that face constant rain, mud and plant growth.
📍 On-Site Installation
The gates were installed at a countryside entrance (see images attached).
The gates were mounted on concreted-in hanging posts, and the extra latch post ensured zero wobble even on uneven terrain.

A secure, stable and reliable farm access control point – built to last for years with minimal maintenance.
