Aremco Barriers installed a heavy-duty swing barrier for Dudley Council to prevent unauthorised vehicles accessing a residential field, protecting the land and improving security
Dudley Council needed a durable vehicle access control system to stop cars and vans from entering a residential green space. Repeated unauthorised access was causing damage to grassed areas, creating safety risks for children and pedestrians, and resulting in frequent, costly maintenance call-outs.
Temporary barriers and bollards had failed to provide a lasting solution, so the Council required a permanent, high-visibility deterrent that could withstand daily use and harsh weather conditions.
Aremco Barriers designed, manufactured, and installed a heavy-duty steel swing barrier, engineered in the UK to our own in-house standards.
The barrier was custom-built to secure the green space’s main access point while still allowing authorised vehicles — such as maintenance crews and emergency services — to enter when required.
To meet the Council’s specification:
This installation is part of Aremco’s ongoing work with local councils and housing authorities across the UK, providing long-term, low-maintenance solutions that prevent traveller encampments, protect public open spaces, and improve community safety.
Since installation, unauthorised vehicle access has been completely eliminated. The barrier has prevented further damage, reduced maintenance costs, and improved the safety and enjoyment of the local community.
The site now benefits from a secure, long-lasting, and low-maintenance access control system, supporting Dudley Council’s commitment to public safety and environmental protection — another strong example of Aremco Barriers’ reliable, UK-made solutions in action.
