The Challenge

Holiday Inn Express in Castle Bromwich required a reliable way to prevent unauthorised vehicles from entering their car park, particularly after repeated issues with oversized vans using the space. The hotel needed a strong, low-maintenance solution that would restrict access without disrupting day-to-day use for guests and deliveries.

After researching online for a UK manufacturer of steel barriers, the hotel management team came across Aremco Barriers. They were drawn to our reputation for tough, made-to-measure height restriction and combination barriers, all designed and built in the West Midlands.

Our Solution

We designed, and manufactured a bespoke combination height restriction barrier finished in RAL 1021 high-visibility yellow. The dual-leaf structure allows full-width access when required while clearly marking a 2.1m maximum headroom to prevent entry from taller or unauthorised vehicles. Built from heavy-duty galvanised steel and powder-coated for extra durability, the barrier provides lasting strength and weather resistance.

The Outcome

The new barrier has secured the hotel’s car park and stopped unauthorised vehicles from entering, while maintaining smooth access for permitted users. Its professional, high-visibility finish also improves site safety and appearance — giving the hotel peace of mind with a robust, UK-made access control system built to last.
