Securing Windfarm Park, Skegness – Heavy-Duty Combination Barrier

The Challenge

At Windfarm Park in Skegness, unauthorised vehicles were repeatedly accessing private land, creating safety concerns, site damage, and disruption to operations.

The management team needed a durable, long-term vehicle access control solution that would prevent future intrusions while still allowing authorised users and maintenance vehicles easy access.

Because the site is located on an exposed coastal area, any barrier system had to withstand high winds, salt air corrosion, and constant exposure to the elements. Temporary measures had already failed, so a robust, permanent barrier was required — one that could deliver reliable security without affecting day-to-day operations.

Our Solution

Aremco Barriers designed, manufactured, and installed a bespoke steel combination barrier, merging the features of a height restriction barrier and a swing gate into one integrated system.

This design gives Windfarm Park full control over both vertical and horizontal access points, allowing only authorised vehicles to enter while keeping the site secure at all times.

The barrier was built from UK-fabricated mild steel, hot-dip galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461 for maximum corrosion protection, and powder-coated in a durable, high-visibility finish for easy identification on site.

Every component — from the locking posts to the restrainer cables — was built for strength, longevity, and ease of use.

This solution provides a secure, low-maintenance system ideal for car parks, service yards, and industrial or agricultural sites where large vehicle access needs to be managed safely.
