Accessible from both sides, this rack is available in two options - surface fixed (floor mounted) or sub-surface fixed (built in).

‍Why is it called Sheffield?

The term "Sheffield" originates from the city of Sheffield in England, where the pioneering design of the "Sheffield rack" or "Sheffield stand" was first introduced. These racks typically feature a robust metal bar or tube bent into a square arch shape.

To optimise their effectiveness, Sheffield stands should be strategically placed within 30 meters of the area they serve, ideally in highly visible locations along busy routes and away from potential hazards. They should also be easily accessible for users.

When installing multiple stands, it's essential to ensure they are spaced approximately 1000mm apart to accommodate two bicycles comfortably. Adhering to specific setting out dimensions guarantees sufficient space for cyclists to mount, dismount, and secure their bikes without obstruction.
