Aremco Barriers, simple but effective British Manufactured robust mild steel Swing Gate Barriers come complete with 1 No. Latch Post for locking the Swing Gate in the closed position, and is suitable for locations or situations where a fully automatic barrier, gate entry system or fencing is either not necessary or cost effective.
This Swing Gate Barrier can also be locked in the open position by means of an Additional Latch Post - at an additional cost.
The Swing Gate Barrier opens to 90° in either direction, but can be manufactured so that it will open 180° in either direction should this be required.
Available in up to 6M. To span an area wider than 6M, then we highly recommend 2 Swing gates along with either a Central Removable Latch Post or a Sliding Shootbolt (see picture to give you an idea of what this is).
Fully detailed installation instructions are supplied for on site assembly.
Bespoke sizes are also available, please contact us for further information at email@example.com or alternatively just fill in the contact form and our dedicated Sales Team will get back to you as soon as possible.
THIS IS AN IDEAL SOLUTION FOR CERTAIN AREAS THAT ARE TARGETED BY FLY TIPPERS, THE TRAVELLING COMMUNITY OR IF YOU JUST WISH TO STOP UNAUTHORISED VEHICLES ENTERING AN AREA, I.E. QUAD BIKES, MOTORBIKES, ETC.
The Swing Barrier Gate can be used in any location where there is a need to manage vehicle entry. It is perfect for use at schools, medical facilities, residential areas, parking garages, car parks, and business forecourts.
This Swing Gate Barriers is available in many colours, manufactured from mild steel square hollow section construction throughout and is based upon a rigid triangular form, complete with strengthening struts.
The Swing Gate Barriers swings on a square sleeve (90° in either direction), mounted on strong adjustable hinges for ease of movement and fitting.
Maximum width available is 6M for a single span, anything wider than we strongly recommend the use of two individual gates with a central removable latch post or sliding shootbolt.
Recommended height of top beam above ground 1100mm.
Swing Gate Barriers are supplied with 1 Hanging Post and 1 Latch Post, and additional Latch Post can be ordered for locking the gate in the open position, or alternatively, should you not have the space for an additional latch post, we can manufacture a wall mounted latch.
The Swing Gate Barrier is locked by means of a padlock which is covered with a security shroud - padlock included.
All our Swing Gate Barriers are built in, which we highly recommend for sturdiness, floor mounted versions are available at an additional cost, just get in touch.
Our Swing Gate Barriers are measured from the outside of the hanging post to the outside of the latch post.
***As a safety feature, we strongly recommend that you purchase and install an additional latch post for single leaf swing gate barriers, or 2 additional latch posts for a double leaf swing gate barrier, so that you can securely lock the gate in the open position, to prevent the gate leaf or gate leaves swinging back into vehicles or pedestrians.
Lengths available in Single Leaf - 3M, 4M, 5M, 6M
Height Above Ground - 1100mm
Depth of Hanging Post Below Ground - 600mm

The basic specification for hot dip galvanized coatings on iron and steel articles is defined by a single standard, EN ISO 1461 ‘Hot dip galvanized coatings on iron and steel articles – specifications and test methods’. However, there are some exceptions to this standard (see thicker coatings below).
BS 729 was the old British galvanizing standard for hot dip galvanizing. It is now superseded by (BS) EN ISO 1461.
When hot dip galvanizing is specified, the surface of the steel is completely covered with a uniform coating whose thickness is determined principally by the thickness of the steel being galvanized (see Graph 1 below).
This is an important advantage of the galvanizing process; a standard coating thickness is applied almost automatically. The actual thickness of galvanized coating achieved varies with steel section size, surface profile and surface composition. Actual coating weights are often much more than the minimum specified in the standard. As coating life expectancy figures quoted are based on the minimum coating thickness, they are therefore usually very conservative.

Guidance on the design and performance of hot dip galvanizing is contained in EN ISO 14713 Part 1 and 2.
EN ISO 1461: coating minimum masses/ thickness on articles that are not centrifuged.
EN ISO 1461:coating minimum masses/thickness on articles that are centrifuged.
Thicker coatings than those set out in EN ISO 1461 can give additional protection for use in particularly aggressive environments and can be specified in conjunction with EN ISO 1461. It should, however, be emphasised that for most applications, thicker coatings are rarely necessary.
Grit blasting prior to galvanizing is usually the most appropriate method and a requirement for a nominal coating thickness of 1000 g/m² (140 µm) has been successfully specified for steel of 6 mm section thickness. For structural steelwork, it is advisable to ascertain whether thicker coatings could be achieved through their greater section thickness and without grit blasting.
Achieving thicker coatings through specification of a reactive steel is normally only appropriate for specific applications.
