A swing gate barrier, hinged on one side, swings open and shut, serving as an access point to various areas. Renowned for their ease of installation and operation, swing gate barriers offer a secure blockade against unauthorised entry. Moreover, their cost-effectiveness has made them a favoured option among businesses and homeowners seeking reliable access control solutions.

Installing manual swing gate barriers can effectively prevent unauthorised access to your property. These gates, designed to swing open and closed, offer a robust physical barrier that deters intruders. By incorporating manual swing gate barriers, you can safeguard your property from unwanted visitors and enhance security measures.

A swing gate barrier, often situated around property perimeters, can be crafted from metal or wood. Apart from facilitating convenient access and egress, these barriers can also be automated for added efficiency.

These devices offer security features as well. They can be easily locked and unlocked from either side, offering reassurance to safety-conscious individuals. Swing gate barriers not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of any business but also provide robust security. Their visually pleasing design is coupled with a challenging breakdown process, making them an effective deterrent against unauthorised entry. Additionally, they can be integrated with other security measures like motion detectors or cameras to further safeguard the property.

Simple but effective Aremco Swinging Gate Barriers are made of sturdy mild steel and include 1 No. Hinged Post for hanging the gate to, and 1 No. Swing Gate Latch Post  to lock the swing gate in a closed position. Particularly useful in situations or locations where it is not feasible or necessary to install a fully automatic barrier, gate entry system, or fence.

These gates effectively deter intruders due to their tight closure mechanism. Moreover, for added convenience, they can be automated. When considering the installation of a manual swing barrier gate, it's essential to grasp its design and installation process. Typically, durable metals and weather-resistant materials are employed in the construction of manual swing gate barriers.

Depending on the applications, swinging gates can be manufactured to open in either direction to 90 degrees, as well as 180 degrees in either direction if required.

The product is available in sizes up to 6M. Anything over 6M, we recommend 2 swinging gates that are locked via a sliding shootbolt with a padlock shroud.

THESE CAN BE USED TO PREVENT UNAUTHORIZED VEHICLES FROM ENTERING AREAS, SUCH AS QUAD BIKES, MOTORBIKES, ETC. THIS IS AN APPROPRIATE SOLUTION FOR CERTAIN AREAS THAT ARE VULNERABLE TO FLYTIPPERS OR TRAVELERS.

Access control can be implemented effectively in various locations by deploying a swing barrier gate. These versatile devices find utility in a range of settings including schools, medical facilities, residential areas, parking garages, car parks, and business forecourts.

Swing Gate Barriers are available in a variety of finishes and colours. They are constructed from mild steel square hollow sections throughout and are based on a rigid triangular design with strengthening struts attached.

Swing Gate Barriers are mounted on strong adjustable hinges and swing on a square sleeve (90° in either direction).

A single-span gate is limited to a width of 6 metres. For spans wider than this, we strongly recommend the use of two individual gates, each with a central latch post or sliding shootbolt. For more information or to request a quotation, please click here.

A height of 1100mm above ground is recommended for the top beam.

In addition to the Hanging Post and Latch Post supplied with swing gate barriers, an additional latch post can be ordered for locking the gate in the open position.

All of our Swing Gate Barriers are built-in, which we highly recommend for safety and durability. Floor-mounted versions are available at an additional cost. Please contact us for more information.

***In order to maintain a high level of safety, we strongly recommend that you install an additional latch post for a single-leaf swing gate barrier, and two additional latch posts for a double-leaf swing gate barrier, so that you can securely lock the gate in the open position, and thus prevent the gate leaf from swinging back into vehicles or pedestrians.

Deciding between a Manual Swing Gate Barrier and an Automatic Swing Gate Barrier

Designed for versatile installation across various sites, this manual swing gate barrier operates without the need for electricity or power. Self-contained and powered solely by the user's force, it offers effortless installation in nearly any setting. Moreover, its cost-effectiveness eliminates the need for supplementary power supplies or electrical connections.

Manual swing gate barriers offer a distinct advantage in scenarios where power outages may occur. Unlike their automated counterparts, which rely on electricity, manual swing gates remain operational regardless of power disruptions. This ensures uninterrupted access to secured areas even during power failures. As a result, manual swing gates emerge as a reliable and secure choice for locations prone to power interruptions, providing continuous access control and peace of mind.

Maintaining a Manual Swing Gate Barrier is nearly effortless compared to its automatic counterpart. With minimal maintenance requirements, manual swing gates remain operational without the need for ongoing attention.

In contrast, Automatic Swing Gates demand regular maintenance by skilled electricians, which can be both costly and time-consuming. The complexity of automatic gates often leads to mechanical issues, necessitating costly replacements of individual parts.

In contrast, Manual Swing Gate Barriers boast a simpler design, relying solely on the gate's weight and hinges for operation. As a result, they are less prone to mechanical failures and require significantly fewer replacement parts, making them a more cost-effective option in the long run.
