The TRAFFIC-LINE Barrier Board System provides a versatile and reliable solution for temporary traffic and pedestrian control. Supplied as a modular plastic barrier system, it is designed for flexible site layouts and short-term safety applications.
This temporary plastic barrier is supplied as a modular system. To create a complete run, the system is assembled using:
Quantities are selected based on the total length of barrier required, allowing the system to be configured to suit individual site layouts.
The system is widely used to cordon off:
It provides clear segregation and visibility in areas where pedestrian and vehicle safety must be maintained.
The TRAFFIC-LINE Barrier Board System has been improved with stronger barrier boards that fix quickly and securely into redesigned upright posts, all manufactured from durable high-density polyethylene (HDPE).
The redesigned bases are produced from recycled materials and can be doubled up where additional ballast is required, improving overall stability in exposed locations.
Designed for fast and simple installation, the system allows quick assembly and reconfiguration as site conditions change. High-visibility reflective panels ensure the barrier remains clearly visible in poor light and low-visibility conditions. All components are fully recyclable, supporting more sustainable site practices.
The system is fully compatible with existing barrier board systems, allowing components to be added or replaced without the need to scrap previous installations.
Independent MIRA Wind Tunnel testing has confirmed the stability of the system when used with appropriate ballast. Depending on configuration, the system has been tested at wind speeds of up to 61.6 mph when correctly assembled and weighted.
In line with BS 8442:2006, temporary traffic barriers must withstand defined wind speed classes when ballast is applied:
